Economic Affairs: SAC Chairman addresses committee’s meeting 8/2023

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Wednesday afternoon addressed the Economic Affairs Committee meeting 8/2023.

In this meeting at the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, the Senior General in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee urged attendees to manage the proper operation of the state-owned factories and workshops and the efficient use of the land.

Mainly, all need to be able to carry out the manufacturing needed for the country. In doing so, government and private sectors need to be carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations. It is necessary to use the state budget with benefit and to implement the activities successfully within the specified period.

The state/region chief ministers should only make requests for funds that are really needed for the activities that will be really beneficial in carrying out development activities. Only good yields of agricultural activities will be sufficient for domestic consumption and will be able to be exported abroad. It is necessary to carry out 100% successful development of cultivated land, the Senior General added.

The meeting continued with Secretary of the Committee Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, state/region chief ministers and union ministers making reports on financial matters, promotion of investment, economic cooperation with international communities, livestock sector and export, commercial contracts and tourism sector.

In his response, the Senior General stressed the need to use legal advice effectively in implementing projects, to use allowed budget effectively and to create opportunities for development.
