Minors displaced by conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo are receiving medical and psychological care at a displacement camp in Rhoo, Ituri province, after surviving sexual violence.

UNICEF says sexual abuse of children remains widespread across the country due to weak protection systems, slow justice processes, and fear of reprisals. Many cases go unreported or unresolved, with legal proceedings often taking far longer than the four months allowed under the law.
