Earthquake Response: Chief Minister oversees drill in Dawei Township

In order to respond to natural disasters effectively in a timely manner within Dawei District, an earthquake drill was conducted at the No. 3 Basic Education High School in Dawei Township under the supervision of Tanintharyi Region Government.

The drill on Wednesday was participated by the Region Disaster Management Department, Red Cross Society, Fire Brigade members, teachers and students. The Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko and departmental officials oversaw the drill.

The drill involved search and rescue operations, first aid demonstration and performance of transporting the injured persons to the nearby hosptital in a short time. Then, the Chief Minister delivered words of appreciation to every individual who actively participated in the drill.
