Earthquake Aftermath: Losses of Exam Papers at Mandalay University

The answer papers for the 2024-2025 matriculation exam, which were under examination at Mandalay University, were destroyed due to the aftermath of a fire caused by a powerful earthquake that struck on March 28.
The Information Team of the State Administration Council made the announcement on Saturday. The destroyed answer papers were from Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, and Kachin State. About 267 teachers were working on the answer papers when the quake hit the area, and they fled the main building. The subsequent fire engulfed the entire university building, along with the answer papers.
