Duty Assignment: Refreshers assigned as civil service gazetted officers

A ceremony to assign new doctors and dentists as civil service gazetted officers in the Ministry of Health was held at the Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

In his greeting remarks, Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win said that the Ministry of Health is implementing two objectives; everyone can live a long life and everyone is free from disease in order to raise public health standard.

It is also planning to upgrade health care services of Myanmar more than now to access quality health care services to everyone which is the right of every citizen.

In placing doctors who are assigned as civil service gazetted officers, it has been carried out to be convenient depending on their letters of recommendation, approval of organization of hospitals, vacancies, the needs and target specifications.

The new doctors are urged to try hard with utmost efforts in order to improve health standard of the people by combining with good experiences from the work field, to follow the civil ethics in serving the state’s responsibilities, to make constant learning and to treat the people in a polite manner based on goodwill.

Later, Union Minister professor Dr Thet Khaing Win and deputy minister Dr Aye Tun presented order letters to be assigned as civil service gazetted officers to four representatives out of new doctors from Universities of Medicine 1 and 2 in Yangon, Universities of Medicines in Mandalay and Magway and 2 representatives from refresher dentists from Universities of Dental Medicine in Yangon and Mandalay.

After that, the Union Minister, deputy minister, directors general, professors, medical superintendents and officials had refreshment food together with new doctors and dentists as well as their parents and relatives.
