

South Korea's president on Tuesday kicked off a visit to the Netherlands.In Amsterdam, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima held a welcome ceremony for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and the First Lady.
Yoon will become the first foreign leader to visit the highly controlled clean room manufacturing facilities of Dutch tech giant ASML, which makes cutting-edge machines to build semiconductor chips. Semiconductors are the linchpin of ties between Korea and the Netherlands, Yoon said.
Yoon will be joined on his visit to ASML by the heads of major chip makers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The two countries are expected to sign several agreements after a meeting between Yoon and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Wednesday.
