Durian exports continue to thrive

Durian exports jumped eighteenfold year-on-year in the first five months of 2023 to over US$503 million.

China imported the most Vietnamese durian, reaching 477 million USD in value, accounting for 95% of the total export value of this fruit. Durian is also a key contributor to the export growth of Vietnam's vegetables and fruits.

According to the General Department of Customs, in five months, vegetable and fruit exports recorded more than 2 billion USD in turnover, up by 43% over the same period last year. This is also a record high compared to the same period in previous years
