Drugs seizure: Drugs worth 12.5 billion Kyats seized in Shan State (South)

1.95 million of stimulant tablets worth 2.925 billion Kyats were seized in Thazi Township of Mandalay Region, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined team comprising anti-narcotic drug task force searched a motor cycle driven by Ye Zaw Oo (a) Kalar near Phaya Nga Hsuu Village of Thazi Township in Mandalay Region at 12 Noon on 18th January and 0.39 million of stimulant tablets were seized.

According to the revealing through investigation, 0.585 million in corn field near Hsuu Poke Kan(ဆူးပုတ်ကန်) Village at 4 PM on 19th and 0.975 million of stimulant tablets near Yinmapin Village. Under the investigation, SoeNaing who is a accomplish in carrying the drugs was arrested together with a motor cycle at Shan Ywar Village of Thazi Township at 7 AM on 23rd January.

They have been taken legal action under the law and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of offenders.
