Drugs seized: Stimulant tablets confiscated in Thibaw

Acting on tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-illegal Drugs Police Force searched a WISH vehicle driven by Shein Ko Ko Aung (a) Aung Aung accompanied by Aik Ngin near the mile post (159/2) on Lashio-Yangon Road in Thibaw Township, Shan State (North) at 11:30 a.m. on 29th March and seized 800,000 stimulant tables worth 400 million Kyats in current price.

According to the investigation, Ohn Myint (a) Phoe Seik and wife Hla Hla Win together with NISSAN AD Van who are undertakers in carrying the drugs were arrested near Ton Sint Village in Thibaw Township. According to their confession, the stimulant tablets were carried to Yangon Region from Shan State (North). In connection with this case, the suspects were taken actions and investigation is underway to expose those who committed the crime.
