Drugs seized: ICE (meth) worth over 19.8 billion kyats arrested

The ICE (methamphetamines) worth over 19.8 billion kyats was arrested in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

The combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force received information about drug carrier Soe Myint and Tun Lin and spotted them in a DONG FENG 22-wheeler truck near ZaLe Vilage on Yangon-Mandalay Road, Kyaukse Township at 10:30 p.m. on January 13 and their accomplices Shine Ko Ko and Wan Lousi (a) Kwe Yon (a) Tarkaw on a motor bike and them and their vehicle were inspected.

A search of the vehicle turned up ICE (methamphetamines) worth over 19.8 billion kyats. According to the investigation, the seized drugs were carried to transport to Kayin State from Shan State (North). The four suspects were charged under the Law and the investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, according Myanmar Police Force.
