Drugs seized: 22 Kilos of Heroin confiscated in Kalay Township

A total of 22 Kilos of Heroin worth 1.1 billion Kyats was seized in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on tip-off, the combined team included Anti-Narcotic Drugs Task Force raided a home owned by Tun Naing Oo (a) Ko Tun in Chan Myay Aung Si Ward of Kalay Township at 1:30 PM on April 6 and captured 11 kilos of Heroin.

Following the investigation, Htet Zaw (a) A Nge Lay with is Hiace vehicle carried the narcotic drugs was arrested at 4:30 PM on the same day. According to the investigation, 11kilos of Heroin was seized at the home owned by Yan Paing Htay (a) Ko Paing at 5 PM. totaling 22 kilos of Heroin worth 1.1 billion Kyats was confiscated.

According to the revealing at the investigation, the grugs confiscated were carried from Kalay to Mandalay and they have been taken action under the law and the investigation is underway to reveal a chain of offenders.
