A combined team of Security Force seized more than 8000 stimulant pills, 22 colour small fancy stones and over 185,000 kyats while searching a Corola car driven by Aung Kyaing Oo on Mandalay-Lashio Union Highway near Kyauk Kyan village in Naung Cho Township on 29th August, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The combined team searched the house of Kyaw Thura in Kyauk Kyan village on the same day.
They found Kyaw Thura holding a gun and seized 3 lead balls, 12 magazines, 100 gram of gunpowder and 1,950 stimulant pills with WY brand.
Police who were taking security measures seized 254-gram of heroin put in 25 soap cases, 2000 stimulant pills with WY brand and 400,000 kyats while searching a tent in Nan Pan-3 region in Mabein Township on 28th August. The combined team also confiscated 2000 stimulant tablets with WY brand in plastic box and 440- gram heroin kept in 44 soap cases while searching a tent in that area.
Likewise, members of Anti-drug Squad seized 8200 stimulant pills and 2 mobiles in the handbag of Ma Kyi Kyi Myint while checking a vehicle on Ywa Ngan-Kyaukse motor road in Ywa Ngan Township on 29th August. Actions were taken against the suspects under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.
