Drug Seizure: Stimulant tablets, arms and ammunitions seized

10.17 million Stimulant tablets worth over 4 billion kyats were seized in Tachileik Township, Shan State (East), according to the Myanmar Police Force.

A combined team stopped a NISSAN DISEL 12-wheeler driven by Sai Aung Latt accompanied by Wei Yan Tun from Kengtung to Tachileik at Mal Yan checkpoint in Mal Yan Village of Tachileik Township and inspected on the vehicle at midnight on 4th March. From the inspection, the combined team seized 10.17 million Stimulant tablets worth over 4 billion kyats put in polypropylene bags covered with onion and other commodities.

According to the investigation, it revealed that the stimulant tablets were carried from Mai Pyin Township to Tachileik and the action will be taken against the suspects and the chain of accomplices will be revealed, its’ learnt.
