Drug Seizure: Over K380 million worth stimulant tablets seized in Kengtung

Over 380 million kyat worth stimulant tablets were seized in Kengtung of Shan State (East), according to the report of Myanmar Police Force.

On January 16th, a combined team of Anti-Narcotics Task Force, searched a vehicle driven from Mong Pyin to Kengtung near Keng Phaung Village. They discovered over 900,000 stimulant tablets, hidden under the vehicle floor, along with the arrest of two suspects.

The interrogation led to the arrest of two more suspects in Tachileik and seizure of a motorcycle. The investigation revealed that the seized drug are transported from Mong Pyin to Myanmar-Thai Border in Tachileik. The case has been filed a lawsuit in line with the law.
