Drug Seizure: Over 9.1 billion kyat worth drugs seized in Mandalay

Over 9.1 billion kyat worth stimulant tablets and heroine have been seized in Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

On November 22nd, a combined team of Anti-Narcotic Unit, acting on a tip-off, searched a mortorcycle in Patheingyi Township, and a suspect was arrested with the seizure of 60,000 stimulant tablets.

The interrogation led to the further seizure of over 6 million stimulant tablets and 440 grams of heroine, as well as the arrest of one more suspect who involved in transporting the drugs. Action has been taken against the suspects in line witht he law.
