A combined team of Anti-Narcotics Task Force seized more than 5.28 million stimulant tablets, worth an estimated 7.92 billion kyats, in Thazi Township on August 22.

The drugs were found in a Nissan 12-wheel truck stopped and searched near Kyawe Tat Sone Village. The vehicle was driven by Htet Aung, with Toe Tet Aung as a passenger. Police said the drugs were being transported from Taunggyi to Yangon.

Khun Ye Htut, also known as Ye Htut, from Aungban, has been identified as the person who allegedly ordered the transport and remains at large. Legal action has been taken against those arrested, while police continue investigating other people involved in the drug trafficking network.
