Drug Seizure: Narcotics worth over 2.27 billion kyats seized in Mohyin

The raw opium, heroin and stimulant tablets worth over 2.27 billion kyats were confiscated in Mohyin Township, Kachin State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

A combined team of anti-narcotic Drug Unit seized 33 kilograms of raw opium, 24.42 kilograms of heroin and over 1.08 million stimulant tablets while searching a vehicle near Nant Pot village on Mohnyin-Myitkyina motor road on 25th August.

According to investigation, the seized drugs were transported to Kachin State from Mandalay region and actions are taking against to the culprits according to the law and investigations are underway to expose those who commit the crimes.
