Drug Seizure: 3 People Arrested Together With Weapons And Drugs In Shan State

Three people were arrested together with weapons and narcotic drugs in Lashio and Hsenwi Townships of Shan State on 3 and 4 August respectively.

The officials from Drug Enforcement Division and security forces found a suspected vehicle without the driver around 6:30 pm on 3 August near Oriental Toll Gate on Muse-Mandalay Highway and seized 10 rifles, 40 magazines, 9 gun straps and 9 gun cases.

Upon further investigation, the police arrested Ma Mar Kaut (a) Lee Kyin (a) War War Win at her house in Hsenwi Township, and confiscated 1.6 kg of raw opium, 2 kg of ICE, one rifle and its 7 bullets, one magazine and one mobile phone around 2 pm on 4 August.

Likewise, Soe Htein Lin and Ma Jaw Kyee Htike (a) Shouk Yone were arrested together with a motorcar and two mobile phones. It is learnt that the case was filed a law suit under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
