Drafting National Land Law: 5th meeting ofthe Committee held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 5th meeting of Drafting National Land Law and Harmonization of the Laws related to Land Management Law Committee took place at the Forest Department in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. 

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi in his capacity as Chairman of the committee emphasized for finalization of National Land Law (draft) within the specified timeline adopted by National Land Utilization Council.

He called for collaborative efforts of related departments for emergence of better land management systems in the future in accordance with national land utilization policy and for drafting National Land Law effectively according to land management procedure.

Then, the Secretary of the Committee made clarification on approval of initial drafting of National Land Law (draft) from section 9 to 16 as preliminary draft. During the previous meeting, section 1 to 8 of National Land Law (draft) were approved as preliminary draft.
