Dr. Rajagopala Chidambaram, former Atomic Energy Commission chief and a key figure behind India’s nuclear advancements, passed away on Saturday at the age of 88. India mourns the loss of Dr. Chidambaram who played a crucial role in India’s landmark nuclear tests in 1974 and 1998, significantly advancing the country’s strategic capabilities.
