Donation of Rice Bags: MSWRR Union Minister accepted donations

The ceremony of donating rice bags to areas affected by the floodsdue to the impacts of Typhoon Yagi occurred in the South China Sea,was held at the Disaster Management Center (DMC) on 3rd of October and the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win received accepted the donations, expressed words of thanks and returned the certificate of honor.

With the coordination and communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DV Group Entrepreneur Wang Jia Hua (aka) U Myint Swe of Cambodia, sent 4,000 bags of rice equivalent to 100 tons of rice worth 200 million kyats and CHEIN CHWIN from Senachy Cooperation Co., Ltd. 400 bags of rice, equivalent to 10 tons of rice, worth 20 millionkyats.

On behalf of the well-wishers, Director General and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and donors handed over a total of 4,400 bags of riceto the Ministry ofSocial Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, it’s learnt.
