Donation Ceremony: Well-wisher donates for offering gold plates

Gold plates will be offered to the first conical spire of Nay Pyi Taw Uppatasanti Pagoda. A donation ceremony was held for the second time for offering gold plates to 3,485 square feet area of the pagoda on Saturday.

The congregation took five precepts from OvadaCeriya of Uppatasanti Pagoda, Patron Sayadaw of PaukMyine Monastery in Lewe Township. Union Minister for Religious Affair and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and officials later donated offertories to the members of the Sangha.

After submitting the religious matters, the Union Ministers and officials accepted the donated cash by the well-wishers, and presented certificates of honors. The Pauk MyineSayadaw later gave sermons and the ceremony was concluded by sharing the merits gained. As of June 15th, over 617 million kyats and 100 US Dollars have been accepted from 72 donors.
