







A ceremony to donate offertories and day meal to the Sayadaws as a commemoration of Kason Full Moon Day took place at Uppata Sandhi Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
Before the ceremony, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing offered meal in emerald bowl, fruits, flowers, water and light to the Buddha Image in the Sasana Maha Beikmandawgyi.
The ceremony then commenced by reciting Namo Tassa three times. The Prime Minister and wife and congregation received Five Precepts from the Secretary of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Min Kyaung Sayadaw of Thanlyin. The members of the Sangha later recited the Parittas. The Prime Minister and wife later donated offertories to the Min Kyaung Sayadaw.
Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife also donated offertories to the Vice Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee KoeSaung Monastery Sayadaw of Myinchan. It was followed by donation of offertories to the Sayadaws and members of Sangha by the Secretary of the State Administration Council, the Joint-Secretary and members, union level personnel, union ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and senior military officials from the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office.
The ceremony concluded after sharing merits gained. After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and wife offered day meal to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
