






Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) held a donation ceremony at the Anti-Corruption Commission office's assembly hall on April 23, to provide financial support to the families of commission staffs affected by the earthquake.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission U Sitt Aye, stated that Myanmar had suffered extensive damage and losses due to the Mandalay earthquake on March 28, that the government had responded promptly, the Commission had managed to relocate its staff members to safe and secure areas, the government had provided financial assistance amounting to millions of kyats and also received international aid, the friends in need are the friends in deed and the Commission is deeply grateful for the financial support provided by the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) to its employees.
Following that, Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) c U Tin Oo, provided details regarding the donation.
Subsequently, Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central), presented a donation of 20 million kyats to the Commission Chairman. In return, Commission Chairman presented a certificate of honor and gifts bearing the Commission's emblem to the Chairman of Myanmar-China Friendship Association, after which the ceremony concluded.
Thereafter, Commission Chairman U Sitt Aye, inspected and supervised the ongoing construction work at the Commission's premises, where machinery is being used to build temporary Basha shelters to ensure that staff and families can reside in weather-resistant and secure accommodations.
