Donation Ceremony: Chief Minister donates rice, edible oil and cash

During the COVID-19 prevention and containment period in Mon State, arrangements are being made to fulfill the alms food for the religious monks and nuns.

Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Linn Tun and the State Ministers paid homage to Shampoo Island or Gaung Sae Kyun Pagoda in Mawlamyaing on Tuesday and donated flowers, lights and water.

It was followed by rice, edible oil and cash donation ceremony for the pagoda and the Chief Minister and party received Five Precepts from Gaung Sae Kyun Sayadaw and donated offertories.

The Chief Minister and party then donated rice, edible oil and cash to sanghas and monks as well as nuns and the congregation shared the merits.
