Donating offertories: Union Minister offers Waso robes to Sayadaws

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin together with officials paid homage to Sayadaws assigned for 2nd Sub-Committee of the State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee (SSMNC) led by Secretary of SSMNC Dr Bhaddanta Sandima Bhivumsa at the Maha Nayaka Kyaungdaw on Kaba Aye hill lock in Yangon on Thursday and supplicated religious affairs on building Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw, successfully completion of consecration ceremony of the Buddha Image on 1st August, construction of repositories and carving Pitaka treaties in Pali and Romanized languages in Maravijaya Buddha park.

The Union Minister added that arrangements are being made to donate Pitakascriptures in Pali and Romanized languages to universities and religious departments in respective countries around the world by compiling treaties books.

Later, the Secretary of State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee Sayadaw gave OvadaGahta. Later, Vice Chairman of the SSMNC Agga Maha Pandita Kyaukme Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Sandana Sara gave OvadaGahta. After that, the Union Minister and party donated waso robes and offertories to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Sayadaws. Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Dr Baddhanta Sandima Bhivumsa delivered religious sermon for sharing merits gained. And then, a day meal was offered to the Sayadaws.
