Over 100 guests attended a launching ceremony of the Myanmar-version documentary "China: Time of Xi" in Yangon on Thursday.
The event was co-sponsored by the State Council Information Office Information Office of China, the Chinese Embassy and the Ministry of Information. Jointly produced by China's Intercontinental communication center (CICC) and America Discovery Channel, the documentary explores the changes in China under President Xi Jinping's leadership, and it also depicts the country's journey toward sustainable development and Xi's vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The three-part series is set to air from Thursday to Saturday.
Through this documentary, Myanmar people can better understand the governance strategy of Chinese leaders and learn from China's development experience. They hoped that the two countries will continue to strengthen cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
The opening ceremony of the documentary "Story of Time -- China-Myanmar Friendship", "Contemporary China and the World -- China-Myanmar Think Tank Dialogue", "China -- Myanmar Beauty--Photo Exhibition," public welfare donations and other activities were also held at the event.
