Disseminating fake news: Illegal subversive media spread fake news

Illegal subversive media is disseminating the fake news on social media that the Tatmadaw attacked the residential areas of Yanbye Township in Rakhine State, using chemical gas.

The Tatmadaw has conducted defensive operations such as launching air and heavy weapons strikes against the AA insurgents attacking Yanbye Township. These Tatmadaw operations led to the failure of the AA insurgents, suffering lots of casualties and damage morale.

And, the Tatmadaw has repeatedly issued information that no chemical bombs have been used in any battles.Similarly, on January 27th, the illegal subversive media is spreading disinformation that 4 civilians were killed, 7 people were injured and more than 20 residential houses were bunt down due to heavy weapon launch of Tatmadaw in Mrauk-U Township.

The true incident is that AA insurgents launched drop bomb attack in Mrauk-U on that day, leading to the severe injury and death of people due to the bomb explosion.These illegal subversive media outlets are spreading fake news, intending to cover up the terror acts of AA insurgents and mislead the public upon the Tatmadaw and security forces.
