Disinformation: Fake news on recruiting for military service

The destructive media Khit Thit is distributing fake news, alleging that Tatmadaw is recruiting youths up to 50 by name in villages, wards and townships of Yangon Region and at some wards, youths are chosen by drawing lots for the military service.

According to the official from Yangon Region Militia Recruitment Team, it’s learnt that Tatmadaw didn’t distribute notice letters to recruit new soldiers. Fake news are circulating with the aim to instability in community.
