Disinformation circulated: Disinformation on local residents abducted circulating

Fake news circulating on social media claims that more than 20 local residents from Gone Chun Administrative Area of Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State were abducted by the Tatmadaw personnel for no reason.

Concerning this news, it is found out that this news is totally fake and there are no security forces who performed security operations in Gone Chun Administrative Area of Kyaukphyu Township. It’s just a baseless claim disseminated by the illegal subversive media outlets with the ruthless intention to mislead the public upon the Tatmadaw and security forces.
