Disaster Response: Plans to relocate the quake-hit staff members

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited the Paper Mill in Yayni on Friday to assess the factory buildings, vacant houses and hostels in order to provide shelters to the quake-hit staff members of the ministry.

The Union Minister inspected the housing capacity of the buildings and its durability and instructed to carry out preparation works for electricity, water supply and other basic needs. He then proceeded to the No.3 Industrial Training Center in Thagara and viewed the damages caused by the powerful earthquake.

He instructed to make systematic record of the damages while also making preparation to relocate the quake-hit staff at the vacant buildings of the training center.
