Disaster Respond Measures: Repairing damaged bridge and flood prevention

Due to torrential rain in Nay Pyi Taw Council area on July 29th, 28 ft long bridge at the entrance of Gon Min Hmyaung Village in Lewe Township was damaged.

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on Thursday assessed the plans for repair works of the damaged bridge. He urged officials for speedy construction of the temporary bailey bridge for convenient transportation of local populace. During the visit, the Council Chairman oversaw the works being undertaking to prevent inundation of ThabawaKoneTan in the eastern part of Sin Ohn Dam.
