Disaster Respond Measures: Coordination meeting and relief measures for flood victims

The Nay Pyi Taw Council Office held a work coordination meeting on natural disaster mitigation at its meeting hall on 12th September.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Natural Disaster Management CommitteeNay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo emphasized that search and rescue operations, along with healthcare measures, must be meticulously coordinated by the Natural Disaster Management Team and working committees, in collaboration with social organizations and the public to effectively assist the flood-affected victims in Nay Pyi Taw.

Next, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, accompanied by officials engaged in a detailed discussion about the inundated roadways and the ongoing rescue efforts in Sugar Mill Road, Pyinmana Township.They proceeded to the Uppatasandhi Pagoda, Tabaung Ground, and MingalarByuHa SasanaBeikman, where victims of the flooding have been temporarily sheltered.

They then assessed the health care provided by the Township Public Health Department to the displaced individuals and inspected water encroachment on RazaHtarNi and PaungLaung Roads.Later in the evening, the Chairman and officials conducted an aerial inspection of the flood conditions in Nay Pyi Taw and along the Sittaung River by helicopter, coordinating efforts to enhance rescue operations.
