Disaster Preparedness: Drills conducted for rescue and relief measures

Preparations are underway for the emergency planning, response, rescue and rehabilitations measures in the Regions and States.
 
According to the observation, the Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal and South Adman Sea can be reached as the cyclonic storm and it is likely to move Myanmar’s coastal areas.
 
Military personnel from various battalions under Nay Pyi Taw Command took part in the disaster management drill, held at the Pobbathiri training ground in the Nay Pyi Taw Transit Camp. The similar drill also held at Awaiya Hot-air Balloon Ground in Taunggyi Township, with the participation of the military personnel together members of Police Force, firefighters, Red-cross Organization and social organisation.‌
 
In case of a natural disaster, the disaster relief teams are preparing in advance to provide timely relief measures and to prepare for foods and shelters. Respective Region and State Chief Ministers, the regional commanders and officials from the relevant regional military headquarters inspected the drill and fulfill the necessities.
