Disaster Preparedness: Discussion on plans to mitigate natural disasters

Nay Pyi Taw Council Disaster Management Committee held its work coordination meeting on Thursday. Chairman of the Committee and Council Chairman discussed the needs to make collaborative efforts in disaster preparedness, prevention, rescue and relief measures among the departments, social organizations and public.

He also stressed to provide rapid respond to the disaster, with plans to provide remedies aftermath of the disaster. The attendees discussed the disaster management plans, preparedness measures, conducting drills for rescue and rehabilitation efforts, readiness for rendering health care services and respond plans to mitigate natural disasters.
