



Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Sunday addressed an emergency meeting on disaster management regarding the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘MOCHA’.
First, in this meeting, the Senior General heard reports on path of the storm ‘MOCHA’, rice, foodstuffs, consumer goods and construction materials reserves to send to the areas affected by the storm, readiness of healthcare services, aircrafts and helicopters for search and rescue operations and timely delivery of aid and military bailey bridges to ensure uninterrupted traffic as well as satellite communication system to continuously receive and transmit information related to the storm and cooperation with international organizations.
In his response, the Senior General stressed the importance of readiness of aircrafts, ships and vehicles to send search and rescue equipment and relief aid. He also called for cooperation on search and rescue operations and rehabilitation works and the need to ensure that no one is left behind. In addition to the 10 groups of emergency vehicles, 2 groups need to be formed, the Senior General added.
