






The tornado hit in Aung Myin Gone and Tadar-U villages of Kantha Village-tract, Lewe Township in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area at 6:20 PM on April 21, left the 235 houses collapsed, 6 people died, 113 people injured, 967 people affected, religious buildings and schools destroyed.
Regarding with the incident, the responsible officials from the National Natural Disaster Management Committee and Nay Pyi Taw Council Natural Disaster Management Committee went to the disaster-hit villages of Tadar-U and Aung Myin Gone and provided assistant packs contained 17 relief items to the 235 households in the morning on 22nd April.
Similarly, the chair of healthcare management work committee Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khine Win, chair of National Natural Disaster Management Work Committee Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine, responsible officials from the Nay Pyi Taw Natural Disaster Management Committee led by the Chair of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin visited 50-bed Dakkhinathiri Township Hospital where the injured persons from tornado-hit Aung Myin Gone and Tadar-U villages are undertaking medical treatments, provided supplement foodstuff and cash assistances for 34 patients and explained the assistances to be provided by the State for the reconstruction of road, houses and religious buildings, accessibility of water and electricity.
Next, the Union Minister Dr. Thet Khine Win, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chair U Tin Oo Lwin visited 100-bed Lewe Township Hospital where the 28 injured persons from tornado-hit Aung Myin Gone and Tadar-U villages are undertaking medical treatments, provided supplement foodstuff and cash assistances for 34 patients and explained the assistances to be provided by the State for the reconstruction of road, houses and religious buildings, accessibility of water and electricity.
