Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe attended the opening ceremony of the "Digital Skill Up Training (TOT)" Course No. (1/2025), organized by the Department of Small Scale Industries, at the assembly hall of the Ministry on January 6 and delivered the opening speech.

In his speech, Union Minister U Hla Moe highlighted the significant role of digital technology in the development of the nations. He emphasized that digital technology is essential for the progress of the nation's social and economic life, as well as for the successful implementation of government services. He also noted that ASEAN countries are actively working on digital technology development through the ASEAN Digital Master Plan 2025 (ADM 2025), and similarly, Myanmar is drafting the Myanmar Digital Economy Roadmap 2030 to promote the country's digital economy.

This training is part of the "Enhancing Digital Skills for Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Sustainable Development of Digital Economy," a project funded by Mekong-LancamgCooperation Special Fund (2024). It aims to improve the digital skills of small-scale industries to support the ongoing development of digital technologies in both the government and private sectors. The Union Minister emphasized that the training would help MSMEs become sustainable and that the ministry would continue to provide the necessary support.

Afterward, the trainers introduced the subjects to be taught during the course, and a group photo was taken to mark the occasion.
