Digital Payment Switch : Efforts for development of digital payment

Myanmar is in the process of implementing the Digital Payment Switch, (Myanmar Pay), aimed at interlinking all mobile payment systems as part of the National Payment System Strategy (2020-2025). During a meeting held in Yangon on Thursday, CBM Governor Daw Than Than Swe emphasized the importance of timely task completion.

She pointed out that once the system is fully implemented, it will significantly reduce cash usage and contribute to the development of digital payments. Additionally, she stressed the need for issuing policy guidelines and addressing investment-related matters.
