Diamond Jubilee Celebration: 75th Anniversary of Myanmar National Airlines

On September 15th 2023, MNA turns 75th anniversary and its celebration was held at Melia hotel in Yangon on September 16th. The MNA is offering domestic and international flight services during 75 years meeting passengers' expectations in a short period of time and convenient connections. 

Naing Saw Lwin, Myanmar National Airlines, Chief Commercial Officer said "After the pandemic ending, the aviation industries across the country awake back again increasing travelers and cargo loads. So one thing special about turning the 75 years is that being the best time of year for the development of tourism industry. At present, we are operating the aviation services with 3 Boeings and 8 ATR aircrafts. On 15th September which turns 75 years, we started to use one cargo aircraft which we MNA have never use before. One special thing is Mobile App that we’ve made for online services."

MNA mobile application is available for both Android and IOS mobile phones. The information about flight schedule has been provided on social media in details.  MNA is currently flying to 28 domestic destinations in Myanmar and to the regional countries. 

Naing Saw Lwin, Myanmar National Airlines, Chief Commercial Officer said "As being civil aviation, we have to strictly follow the rules and regulations set by DCA. We always work together with The Department of Civil Aviation for better safety works and services. We’ve already done Operational Safety Audit and got International Air Transport Association membership since last April."

Captain, Myanmar National Airlines, Nay Myo Tin said "MNA involves as one among the earliest airlines in Southeast Asia. Since from the beginning, we’ve been prioritizing the safety of passengers. From 75 years to several hundred years, we are going to keep and boost the quality and services."

Senior Cabin Crew, Myanmar National Airlines, Thinn Ei Kyaw said "Our cabin crews are responsible for the most satisfactions of the passengers throughout the flight to reach their destinations. We are proud of offering services here at State-Owned Airline."

Aiming at providing better aviation services and supporting the tourism development of the country, the State-Owned Myanmar National Airlines, originally founded as Union of Burma Airways (UBA) on September 15, 1948, alongside the country's Independence, has undergone several name changes, becoming Burma Airways Corporation (BAC) in 1972, Myanma Airways (MA) in 1989, and finally Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) in 2014.
