Development Works: Tree planting and Tissue Paper Machine

Kachin State Government organized Monsoon Bamboo Plantating ceremony 2023 at Wuyan Village in Waimaw Township on 15th June. The ceremony aimed to increase production of bamboo products and bamboo plantations.

At the ceremony, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, State/District and Township level departmental officials and other related officials planted over 600 bamboo saplings on 3.7 acres land plot.

The Chief Minister also assisted 3 million kyats to those who are running community forest plantation. On the same day in Myitkyina Township, the Chief Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of operating the Tissue Paper and Pulping Line Machine.

It is being implemented with State Economic Promotion Fund worth of 135 million kyats.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that the Kachin State government is implementing for development of agriculture, livestock and fishery sectors with the use of 8 billion Kyats, provided from the State Economic Promotion Fund. Efforts are also making for the development of cooperative enterprises to increase production of products.

He urged all to strive for long term success of the businesses. Then, Chief Minister and party viewed the operation process of Tissue Paper and Pulping Line Machine, and the displays of products.
