






On October 10th, the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, accompanied by other concerned officials met with township-level departmental officials, community elders and social organizations at NweWati Hall in LinKhay Township.
During the meeting, they discussed initiatives for regional development and disaster recovery efforts. The Chief Minister received reports on natural disaster management, including completed work, remaining tasks, traffic restoration efforts, alternative crop cultivation and reconstruction of flood-affected homes.
The Chief Minister urged for a coordinated approach to rehabilitation, emphasizing collaboration across all sectors. The Chief Minister provided canned food, instant noodles, essential supplies, and over 16 million kyats in cash assistance to flood-affected victims.
The Chief Minister and party visited the site to assess the ongoing repair work on the damaged roads and bridges along the NantSam-Moenae-Mongton-MongSat route near NamtOn Village. There, he underscored the need for implementing projects based on priority sectors. Next, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to NantTain Bridge and observed the census enumeration at WanLoi ward.
They then paid homage to the Residing Sayadaw of NantTon Monastery and offered offertories. They inspected the flood-affected monastery and contributed 10 million kyats each to improve drinking water access in NantTon village and support VDP activities.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister and party inspected the damaged roads and bridges along the MaukMae-Wanhat-road and the Wanhat-WanSaLaung-TarSutTein-Ho Mein road. During the inspection, they received reports on the damage conditions and the status of work implementations. The Chief Minister then allocated 15 million kyats to support VDP activities.
