Development Works: Power Plant and Pipeline Projects in Kyauk Phyu

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin inspected the development works in Kyauk Phyu Township on April 3rd and 4th.

During the tour, the Chief Minister visited the 135 megawatt natural gas-and-waste energy-fired power plant in Gon Cheoin Village. Officials provided update reports on progress of the project, potential for electricity generation, creating employment opportunities for local communities and implementation of corporate social responsibility works in the region.

The project is being implemented by the Power China Company, and is a key project in the China-Myanmar power cooperation. 

On the 4th, the Chief Minister visited the Southeast Asia Oil and Natural Gas Pipeline Project in Madae Island. Officials explained the work process of distributing oil and natural gas, security and fire safety measures as well as the annual distribution of oil and natural gas, arrival of oil tankers, employment opportunities and Corporate Social Responsibility works for local communities.
