Development Works: Integrated farm and bridge construction in Kachin State

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan on August 30th visited Nga Oh Village in Myitkyina Township to oversee the progress of integrated farm being operated by the second phase of State Economic Development Fund.

With the use of 10 million kyat alloted fund, the farm engages in paddy cultivation and breeding of fish and livestock as well as the perrenial crops. During the visit, the vetenary medicines and pesticides were provided.

For convenient transportation of agricultural produces, 300 ft long Maw Phaung-Nga Oh Reinforced Concrete Bridge is under construction. The Bridge Special Group (1) is undertaking the construction works by spending 1.5 billion kyat from the State Budget, covering three fiscal years.
