Development Works: Inspection tour in PutaO of Kachin State

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Admiral Tin Aung San, together with officials, visited Hilly Region Buddhist Missionary School in PutaO on Sunday.

They paid respect to the Residing Sayadaw and donated offertories. They also paid homage to the Ancient Historic Kaung Hmu Lone Pagoda in Machanbaw Township and donated cash for all-round renovation of the pagoda. At the 500-acre Integrated Farm, they oversaw the vegetable plantations and livestock breeding farms and provided animal medicines and food supplement.

In meeting with the departmental personnel, community elder, Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations and local people in PutaO, the Admiral heard reports on development works in PutaO District, and urged all to strive for socio-economic progress through cooperation and collaboration among the national brethren.

During the meeting, cash rewards, foodstuff, maize and crop seeds, solar lamps and school exercise books were presented for the religious organizations, departmental staff, security forces and literature and cultural associations. They then viewed the display of locally produced foodstuff in the meeting hall.

On arrival at the Border Area Nationalities Youth Development Training School, the Admiral provided cash rewards, school uniforms, equipment and sports gears for the teachers and students. They also inspected the mess hall and hostel in the school compound. On Saturday evening, the Admiral and party held a meeting with the Leaders of Religious Organizations and officials of Literature and Culture Associations in PutaO area and discussed matters for regional development.
