Development for Tourism industry: Nay Pyi Taw to be promoted as tourists attraction destination

The Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine gave an opening remark at the coordination meeting to promote Nay Pyi Taw as tourist attraction destination was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 26th March.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister said that Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw is the administrative capital City of Myanmar as well as a tourist destination which is easily accessible road transportation, railway and airways. The meeting is held to be able to implement Promotion Campaign programs to promote tourists attraction places in Nay Pyi Taw for the travellers to visit. The arrangements are being made for Nay Pyi Taw which has Myanmar International Convention Centers to hold the international meetings, conferences and trade fairs and international standard hotels and guest houses, as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) tourists destination, pagodas and temples including Maravijaya Buddha Image which is the world's tallest sitting marble Buddha image, natural scenic beauties, recreational parks and museums.

The attendees are urged to give the suggestions regarding with the Promotion Campaign for Nay Pyi Taw as tourist attraction destination and to make collective efforts to facilitate the country’s economy through the tourism industry.

Next, the Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Hotel and Tourism clarified the arrangements to promote Nay Pyi Taw as tourists destination and the Promotion Campaign programs.

Then, the attendees gave the necessary suggestions and the Union Minister coordinated requirements upon the clarifications and suggestions.
