




Thaninthayi Region MSMEs Development Agency Meeting (1/2023) was held at the region government office on 3rd of August.
At the meeting, Patron of Thaninthayi Region MSMEs Development Agency, region chief minister U Myat Ko said that the aim of holding the meeting is to implement political and economic affairs and the work procedures laid down by the MSME Central and Working Committees for MSMEs development.
In the past, rubber exports of the region went only through raw materials, but now the rubber industries with modern technologies are growing up and it’s getting the high level of exports along with the cooperation of the business experts. He continued that, in the agricultural sector, efforts are needed for rubber, palm-oil and betel nut cultivations. Due to the insufficiency amount of oil in the region while getting enough of crude oil, the region government is trying to build the oil refinery in cooperation with the entrepreneurs.
In the livestock breeding sector, the businesses of fish, prawn and carb are getting a growth and in which, the region needs to more rely on prawn farming business as it has much amount of investment and profit. In doing so, sufficient amount of electricity is required and then the shrimp fingerlings and foods production are going to be implemented very soon.
Afterwards, Chairman of Thaninthayi Region MSMEs Development Agency, region economic affairs minister U Maung Gyi discussed about One Region One Product project and joint secretary explained about the completed tasks upon the decisions of the meeting including the directives.
Later, the region chief minister coordinated the needs upon the discussions of agency members, departmental staff and business experts.
