Development Initiatives: SAC member tours in Sittwe

Member of the State Administration Council Dr. Ba Shwe, along with Rakhine State Chief Minister and officials, met with departmental personnel, town elders, entrepreneurs, literati, social organizations, and ward and village administrators at Lawka Nanda Ceti in Sittwe.

Dr. Ba Shwe stressed that the State Administration Council is implementing a 5-point Road Map and 9 objectives to achieve peace, stability, rule of law, and development. The political goal of the State Administration Council is to ensure a strong, disciplined multi-party democratic system and to build a union based on democracy and a federal system.

He called for the cooperation of all concerned individuals for the development of the state. The Chief Minister also explained the regional development initiatives and addressed the needs of local residents. The SAC member and party later met with the rectors, pro-rectors, professors, faculties, and students from Sittwe University, Technological University, and Computer Studies University, providing instructions to nurture students with five essential strengths.

In the afternoon, the SAC member and party visited Technological University and Computer Studies University, inspecting repair works for damages caused by cyclone Mocha and the progress of students' education at the universities. In the evening, they inspected the renovation works at Sittwe View Point and repair works along Shukhintha Road that were damaged by the cyclone.
