Deputy PM visits India to strengthen defence ties

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Australia Richard Marles is in New Delhi, India for high-level talks. The visiting dignitary held a bilateral meeting with India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Richard asserted that India and Australia are close partners in Defence and maritime security. Defence and security are key pillars of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with both nations committed to peace, stability, and a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific.
