Deportation Process: Crackdown on online fraud cases

Under the Trilateral Cooperation among Myanmar, China and Thailand, efforts are intensified to expose and detain the foreign nationals who engaged in online scam and online gambling activities.

On Saturday, a total of 304 illegal foreign nationals were deported to the related countries via Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge No.2. In addition, 110 more illegal immigrants were detained at Myawaddy-Shwe Kokko, Mae Htaw Thalay and KK Park area and the necessary records and resumes of the detained foreign nationals were compiled in order to deport them to their respective countries promptly.

From 30th January to 8th March 2025, a total of 4,702 illegal immigrants were identified. Among them, 1,975 have already been deported to their respective countries via Thailand in line with the laws and procedures, and the rest of the detainees are ready to be deported to their respective countries.
